The company is entering a new chapter. With fresh investment and plans to expand across Europe, there’s momentum, and with it, a need for reflection.

Before the next rollout, leadership has asked you to carry out an AI Ethics Audit of the MindBalance app.

Your mission is to prepare and present an AI Ethics Audit Report for internal leadership. Your audit should:

• Identify potential ethical concerns in the app’s design and use of AI
• Evaluate the app’s use of data, personalization, and decision-making processes using key ethical principles (Fairness, Transparency, Privacy, Autonomy, Inclusivity)
• For each issue, state whether the current AI implementation is a “Do” (ethically sound) or a “Don’t” (requires changes), and justify your reasoning.
• Propose clear, actionable recommendations to improve or safeguard the AI system.
• Present your findings visually as well as textually.

You will create:

• A 2-page report summarising your findings

AND/OR

• A slide deck or visual briefing (using Canva, Uizard, or Miro) to communicate your top 3 risks and recommendations based on your findings.

It’s a chance to pause and ask: Are we designing responsibly? Are we protecting user trust? Are we aware of unintended consequences? Are we relying on AI in ways that still centre human well-being?
